Psalm 121A song of ascents. 1 I lift up my eyes to the mountains—
where does my help come from?
2 My help comes from the LORD,
the Maker of heaven and earth.
3 He will not let your foot slip—
he who watches over you will not slumber;
4 indeed, he who watches over Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.
5 The LORD watches over you—
the LORD is your shade at your right hand;
6 the sun will not harm you by day,
nor the moon by night.
7 The LORD will keep you from all harm—
he will watch over your life;
8 the LORD will watch over your coming and going
both now and forevermore. |
This is a great chapter to memorize. It expresses assurance and hope in God's protection all the time. Nothing distracts Him. He doesn't sleep. We are safe. We will always need God watching over our lives. He is our refuge... our hiding place!!!
Sometimes I feel alone...at those time God speaks to me with verses like todays. He tells me I am in His hands and He is taking care of me today and all my tomorrows. There are so many times I need to remember it! Thank you, God!!!!
ReplyDeleteto all who feel alone...this is satan's tool. To get you to feel all alone, no one cares, no one has ever gone through this before, they don't understand, etc.
ReplyDeleteIt's all a lie straight from the pit of hell. DO NOT BELIEVE IT!!! John 10:10 states that satan has come to kill, steal, and destroy.
The truth is that God has stated that He will never leave you nor forsake you. The word forsake in Hebrew means to never fail. God never fails us. In our thinking, we believe He has, but that is just our emotions playing with our thinking!!!! It is actually impossible for God to leave you because when you became a believer in Jesus the Holy Spirit came to reside on the inside of you. God is with you 24/7!!! 1 Corinthians 3:16 "~Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?" The verb tense for dwelleth is a continual process, over and over again. It's not a one time occurance. God is with you!! Now you need to go tell the devil to shut up, and get behind you! Start believing what God says about you! You are accepted in the Beloved! (somewhere in Ephesians 1) You are Holy, You are blameless, You are Loved, You are righteous, You are redeemed, You are victorious, You are a child of God!!
I am asking for prayer for my mom. Elaine Langager. She has been in the hospital about 5 times this year. Now she has pneumonia, UTI, was dehydrated when she entered again on Sunday. Now my mama's heart is messing up.... pulse rate high, pulse rate low, blood pressure high, blood pressure low. We're calling in her cardiologist. Mom doesn't think she'll get to go home today because they can't seem to stabilize it. =( If you are in the neighborhood... poke your head in and say hi. Room 230 bed 1.
ReplyDeleteOur best friends just left and it will about a year before we see them again. It brings comfort to know that our heavenly father is also our best friend. He never leaves me, he protects me, guides me and listens to me and knows what's best for me. Thank you Lord for being by my side at all times.
